This instructional guide is made to assist you in replacing your Audi A1 key fob battery. The battery is the key fob’s sole source of power. Symptoms of a faulty or dead battery would include the inability to lock/unlock your car using the key fob, or a significant decrease in distance from the car in which the key fob will still be functional. Another possibility is that the battery could be swollen, so exercise caution when opening the key casing and removing the battery. Changing the battery yourself in your key fob is a cheap and easy alternative to buying a new one, as they are expensive and would create unnecessary waste
